Our Easter Service for this year was led by the Bicentenary Methodist Church from Bochabela.  The service was meant for all our older people in all programmes, as most of them did not get a chance to go to their churches during Easter.  Also in our annual programme as an organization we planned for a Prayer Day in April, together with the Easter Service they made one event.

The service was attended by Pastors of various churches, luncheon club members, Day Care Clients and residents.  The word of God was shared through preaching and singing.  At the end of the service all Pastors prayed for our older persons and they made an offering which was handed over to the organization.

All churches were in one spirit, this Easter, singing in one voice, and the event remains unforgettable to our elderly.

We had a choice of celebrating Freedom Day on the 20th of April 2013, however we felt the event needs to speak more to what older persons are mostly interested in.

We will find a way to celebrate Freedom Day with them in the coming years however the celebration of Easter will be a standing event, annually.
